Since the next-gen iPad should be launching in January, it’s time for those leaks to start pouring and this has just happened, at CES 2011. An iPad 2 mockup surfaced in Las Vegas and this is a pretty detailed unit we’re dealing with and not the first to appear during the show. It comes with a brand new speaker and dual cameras.
There’s also that iPod Touch form factor we’ve been hearing so much about and 128GB of storage. The product number for this mockup is A1337, just like the first generation of Apple tablets. Of course, this is a fake device and it only runs the emulated version of iOS, that’s been ported badly.
Most likely this is a gadget created by an Apple fan who gathered all the rumors and leaked pics of the future iPad and created his own vision of the device. We’ll have to see some leaked cases or prototypes before we give the verdict on the iPad 2…
