After the story regarding the sold out status of the iPad 2 in the States and its possible delay in other territories, the device started its international sales. Australia and New Zealand are among the first countries to receive the device, so now people in these countries can order Apple’s new toy online.
Too bad that shipping estimates mention a 2 to 3 week wait before the goods are delivered. 25 more countries will join list starting March 25, offering the iPad 2 both online and in stores. Apple expects long queues internationally as well, after the US ones. As we speak, we expect some fans of the Cupertino brand to be already lined up in front of stores, fearing that their favorite new product will sell out in minutes, when it becomes available.
As far as the States are concerned, the availability is still a problem with orders place right now taking 4-5 weeks to ship.
