Budget tablets continue to come our way this year, with the latest model we’ve uncovered being the Idolian. We’re dealing here with an Android slate that sells for $99 a piece and bears the name of IdolPad. This Gingerbread device can be seen below and its specs are pretty decent, as you’ll find out for yourselves after the break.

Idolian IdolPad uses a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, WiFi, 4GB of Flash memory, a microSD card slot and a resistive (2 finger) touchscreen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution. HDMI also finds its way onto the device, as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera, a G-sensor and if you’re looking for Bluetooth, GPS or secondary camera, you’re out of luck. Idolian also posted the hands on video below, detailing the functioning of the tablet. Strangely enough this video shows a tablet that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and not Gingerbread, so it could be the wrong vid that Idolian posted.

At least we know that the device gets Android Market, something that most affordable tablet buyers are worried about. Idolian also has in its portofolio a bunch of 7 inch and 10 inch models and keyboard cases for the smaller diagonal slates. The other models are more expensive…
