According to Jean Philippe Bouchar, Research Director for Tablets, it seems that Microsoft is doing a lot of good things lately, foreseeing a great future for its upcoming Windows 10 operating system. This version of OS will have a significant impact on both Microsoft’s share on the market, and also on the industry.

We get to know that right now people are searching for a platform that will offer all that productivity functions, platform to be found on multiple devices. This idea is also behind Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system, product that will be launched for customers very soon. IDC sees Microsoft’s market share growing from 5.1% (2014) to 14.1% in 2019.

Instead, Apple tablets that are currently at a 27.6% market share will drop by 2019 to 23%. In the same time is confirmed the fact that iPad tablets sales slowed down also because of the iPhone 6 Plus, a 5.5-inch phablet that can replace a tablet very well.
