It’s a field day for Huawei, that’s launching new products in India, in varied segments. They’ve debuted a smartphone or two and now the MediaPad Honor T1 and MediaPad X1 tablets are also here. The former is priced at $162 and it will be exclusively available on Flipkart on October 10th.
The MediaPad X1 didn’t get a price or availability date just yet. Both models come with voice calling over 3G networks and the T1 integrates an 8 inch HD IPS display with a 72% screen to body ratio and 160 degree viewing angle. The product runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI on top and inside the slate we find a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. There’s 1 GB of RAM as well, plus a 4800 mAh battery that uses the Huawei 30% Patented Power Saving tech.
Other specs include a 5 megapixel main camera, 8 GB of storage and varied connectivity options. The MediaPad X1 has a 7.18 mm thick chassis, a 7 inch 1200 x 1920 display, a quad core HiSilicon Kirin 910 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a very good 13 MP main camera, a 5 MP video call shooter and Android 4.2 as the OS, with Emotion UI 2.0 on top. The battery here is a 5000 mAh unit.
