The Huawei MediaPad was the company’s first serious foray into the tablet market and now it appears that the 7 inch device that was the first to run Android 3.2 is now getting ready to switch to Ice Cream Sandwich. These pics come from China and show the MediaPad running Android 4.0.1.
MediaPad has good enough hardware to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and it’s a matter of time till Huawei announces the software update. This Chinese company is starting to have a good track record with ICS, since recently the Huawei Honor smartphone was seen running Android 4.0 in a demo version. I wish Samsung, LG and HTC would learn something from this phone and tablet maker. Also, I have to mention that I’m surprised to see budget tablets coming from China with Android 4.0 installed and official gadgets getting this update so fast…
