We’ve heard this theory about Google preparing its very own Nexus tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich before, but we didn’t have much info about… Motorola is 99.99% sure to make this device and it’s a pretty logical choice, since they were bought by Google after all. However, there’s a bit of a downside here, since the eExus tablet might make the PC vendors working with Google on other ICS tablets angry…

Many companies out there hope to capitalize on the freshest Android and sell a couple of new tablets on its expense. How could they compete with a probably lower priced slate with ICS and good specs? Eric Schmidt was the one who revealed that the company he’s part of will launch a Google Nexus tablet next year, so this is as official as it gets. Industry sources are saying that Google Nexus Tab will run Android 4.1, while the first ICS slate will get version 4.0.

This is the cause of concern for slate makers, that feel their products won’t appeal to the public, considering the choice the customers have and the availability of the Nexus tablets. ASUS Acer and Lenovo are all companies who plan to launch Android 4.0 tablets soon enough and they’re most likely the discontent ones. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how Google will appease its partners…

  • Why should it affect other brand’s sales? Unless are crap, of course. But I think that TF Prime will have as much popularity as the first TF-101, if not more… Acer, Toshiba, LG and Moto are crap.
Samsung is nice, but has no features like Asus, and updates are scarce, Asus is always up to date with newest firmwares.
