Huawei introduced the MatePad 11.5 (2024) during its December 12, 2024, event in Dubai, alongside the Mate X6, Nova 13 series, FreeBuds Pro 4 earbuds, and a Rose Gold version of the FreeClip headphones. This latest mid-range tablet brings a fresh Kirin processor and an array of bundled accessories, making it a noteworthy successor to its predecessors.

The original MatePad 11.5 launched in July 2023, featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and a 120Hz LCD display. A follow-up model, the MatePad 11.5 S, arrived in May 2024 with a 144Hz LCD panel featuring anti-reflection technology and an unknown octa-core CPU. Now, the MatePad 11.5 (2024) steps up the game with an anti-glare “PaperMatte” 11.5-inch display, quad speakers, and a sleek unibody metallic design available in Blue and Silver.

At just 6.85mm thick and weighing 499 grams, the device boasts an IPCD LCD display with a resolution of 2200 x 1440 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The “PaperMatte” screen enhances user comfort by mimicking the texture of paper, making it easier on the eyes during extended use.

The tablet comes in two configurations:
– 6GB RAM + 128GB storage
– 8GB RAM + 256GB storage

Aimed at productivity and creativity, the package includes the third-generation M-Pencil stylus and a keyboard-integrated protective case. The 7700mAh battery supports 30W fast charging, offering up to 10 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The MatePad 11.5 (2024) is equipped with a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls. It also features USB-C 2.0, dual microphones, Bluetooth 5.2, and runs on HarmonyOS 4.2. Notable software highlights include compatibility with the GoPaint app for professional-grade editing with layers and 150 brushes, and a Notes app designed for students, supporting split-screen multitasking and simultaneous handwritten note-taking and audio recording.

With its balanced specs and a comprehensive accessory bundle, the MatePad 11.5 (2024) is a strong contender in the mid-range tablet segment.
