We all know that HTC is not only preparing a quad core phone for MWC, but also its thinnest phone and… a brand new tablet. That slate is supposedly also very thin, at around 9mm and now the branding it gets is HTC Vertex. Last I heard, this model was called HTC Quattro and it was supposed to be a quad core tablet.
HTC Vertex is rumored to feature an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 10.1 inch 1280 x 768 pixel display. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 on top and it also comes with Beats Audio included and excellent sound quality. The picture below is supposed to have been taken with the tablet’s camera and it’s pretty crappy, to be honest. Supposedly, the device only gets a 2MP camera, although they could have done better even at 9mm in thickness.
Vertex is also rumored to have a 1.3MP front shooter, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and speakers that take advantage of that Beats Audio tech. I also expect HTC Scribe to be used on it and a Dropbox account to be bundled. Now let’s wait for MWC and the first hands on video with it…
