HP had a busy day today in India, announcing no less than 7 new tablets in the country, targeted at the enterprise segment. Those models include the HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12, that will be available in stores in May of this year.

The starting price is $530 for the Pro Slate 8 and $667 for the Pro Slate 12. There are also the HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 ($378), Pro Slate 10 EE ($353) and Pro Tablet 10 EE ($402) models in the mix. Specs-wise, the HP Pro Slate 8 brings a 7.86 inch screen with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Pro Slate 12 offers a 12.3 inch screen with a 1600 x 1200 pixel res and it relies on a quad core Snapdragon 800 CPU, together with 2 GB of RAM, just like the Pro Slate 8. The latter comes in 16 GB and 32 GB versions, while the bigger unit only comes with 32 GB of storage. Both their specs lists include microSD card slots, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.

The Pro Slate models offer bundled the new HP Duet Pen, that uses Qualcomm’s trademark pen technology. Finally, they’ve got an 8 megapixel back camera and a 2 MP front shooter. HP Pro Slate 12 packs a 37 Whr battery and the HP Pro Slate 8 offers a 21 Whr battery. It has 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP camera with AF and a front 2 MP shooter, plus a 4800 mAh and up to 64 GB of storage. HP Pro Tablet 10 EE G1 runs Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 with Bing, or Windows 8.1 Pro for Education. HP Pro Slate EE G1 relies on KitKat in the meantime.
