HONOR is preparing for a rather big event on July 13th and aside from one or two midrange phones, it’ll also unveil a tablet. HONOR already launched the V7 tablet series last year and now it’s preparing to launch new models within a budget segment. One of them is dubbed Honor Tablet 8 and it has just leaked.

The specifications of the device has just leaked online and they include the already famous Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which was found on quite a few entry level phones this year. We include here the Honor X8 and Huawei Nova 9 SE. The leak shows that the tablet, which is codenamed HEY-W09 will be an upgrade compared to the previous gen model. It’ll feature a screen with 2K resolution, but its diagonal is not yet clear. Anything between 8 and 12 inches is possible, although 10 or 11 inches are the favourite.

It is also said that the device will come with 22.5W fast charging. Honor Tablet 8 could also feature quad speakers, Android 12 with Magic UI 6.0 on top, collaboration features, at least 4 GB of RAM, if not 6 or 8 GB, plus 128 GB of storage. It would be nice if it had stylus support, a keyboard and cases, but it’s a budget tablet, so I’m not sure that will happen. Considering the CPU and the other specs, I expect a price below $300.
