Without much fanfare, Honor has launched a new budget-friendly tablet, the Pad X7, and no, it’s not the same as the older Tablet X7 from 2021. The new model is already up for grabs in Saudi Arabia, and it’s aiming squarely at the affordable tablet market—with specs that manage to punch a bit above its price tag.
The Pad X7 packs an 8.7-inch LCD display with a 1340×800 resolution and a surprisingly smooth 90Hz refresh rate, plus a respectable 625 nits peak brightness—not bad for a tablet under \$100. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 680 chip, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Powering everything is a 7,020 mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging and even reverse wired charging, for topping up other devices in a pinch.
You’ll find an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, and the whole thing ships with Android 15 out of the box. The build is compact at 211.8 x 124.8 x 7.99 mm and weighs just 365g, only available in gray—for now, at least.
Honor is touting the tablet’s durability, claiming it’s been through 42 rounds of reliability testing, including drop tests, extreme environment simulations, and a steel ball impact test. It’s currently priced at SAR 349 ($93 / €79) as part of a limited-time launch deal, but expect that to jump to SAR 449 ($119 / €101) once the promo ends in about a week.
