Honor, a subsidiary sold by Huawei at the end of 2020 has just debuted its first tablet from the post-Huawei times. The device is known as the Honor Pad 7 and it’s a 10.1 inch Full HD slate, which may come in handy for the home schooling or remote work process.
The device was unveiled today together with the Honor 40 Lite Luxury Edition in China. The Honor Pad 7 tablet uses a 10.1 inch Full HD display with an 80% screen to body ratio and also with TUV Rheinland certification for eye protection. The slate has split screen support for up to 4 different apps. It also lets users run and use different apps at the same time. You can listen to lectures, check your email and take notes simultaneously. Honor also provides an Education Center area in order for children to concentrate on learning efforts.
Inside we find a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, even though some sources talk about a Helio P22T CPU. It’ll come in black or blue and it should start selling in China from March 26th. The budget tablet may also be known as the Honor Tab 7 in some regions and it also brings a 5100 mAh battery, a microSD card slot, a 5 MP selfie camera and dual speakers. There’s a modest 2 MP back camera included.
The slate runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 4.0 on top and it should come in the following versions:
- 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, WiFi: $215
- 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, WiFi: $261
- 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 4G: $246
- 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, 4G: $292
