With the Motorola Xoom being the first device to get Honeycomb 3.1, it’s now the turn of other models to get the same treatment. Android 3.1 will come to the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and ASUS Eee Pad Transformer in June, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will arrive with the update already installed.
What this software brings to the newer slates is performance upgrades, UI improvements, resizable widgets, a new task switcher and support for USB peripherals. LG confirmed that this update will also reach the Optimus Pad/G-Slate, but no dates were mentioned. We could see each and every Honeycomb unit out there getting the software upgrade by the end of the summer, if all goes well.
Wondering if HTC Flyer will get it too…
