HMD Global is ready to pivot into… tablets. After making their very own phones, sans Nokia branding, but still resembling them, the company is now working on a slate known as the HMD Slate Tab 5G.

The leak mentions that the HMD Slate Tab 5G will feature a flat back design, with appealing and eye catching colors, much like the Lumia smartphones. It’ll arrive with a large 10.6 inch IPS display with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. There’s also an 8 megapixel selfie camera in the mix, that’s integrated into the top bezel.

At the back side we find a 13 megapixel main camera. Inside rests a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, also available on other recently launched tablets, such as the Redmi Pad Pro and POCO Pad. Then we get 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 slot, as well as a microSD card slot.

The tablet will rely on a 9250 mAh battery with 30W fast charging and other extra features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.2 and a 5G modem. Stylus support is also part of the package and it even plays nicely with a keyboard cover.
