HMD Global is expanding its direct-to-consumer push with the launch of the HMD T21 tablet, a rebranded version of the Nokia T21 from 2023. While the internal hardware remains largely unchanged, the T21 marks a new chapter under the HMD banner—complete with updated branding, a rugged Black Steel finish, and a more connected retail experience through HMD.com.

Priced at ₹15,999 (approximately $192 USD), the HMD T21 is available at a discounted introductory price of ₹14,499 (around \$173 USD) for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It combines practical features like 4G LTE with voice calling and SMS, an expansive 10.36-inch 2K screen, stereo speakers with OZO audio, and IP52 dust and splash resistance. Powered by the UNISOC T612 chip and Android 13 (with Android 14 updates already rolling out), this device is clearly built for reliability over flash.

What really sweetens the deal is the launch-day bundle: starting July 17th, buyers who grab the tablet from HMD.com will get two months of free access to Blacknut’s cloud gaming platform, unlocking over 500 games along with three themed outfit packs—Gaming, Flashy, and Casual. It’s a bold move to add value for casual and family gamers, especially at this price point.

Speaking on the launch, Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO of HMD India and APAC, emphasized the company’s shift toward more meaningful tech and direct engagement with users: “The T21 is our second exclusive product on HMD.com following the successful Barbie phone launch. Whether for work, entertainment, or creativity, it’s a reliable companion—and marks another strong step in our direct-to-consumer journey.” With HMD.com now positioned as the brand’s central retail hub, the T21 also signals HMD’s growing ambition to blend affordability, utility, and experience into one accessible package.
