HBO Go is a very popular app for streaming HBO shows on Android handsets, but tablet users have felt left out for quite a while now. In May HBO Go got updated to support Android 4.0 and now it gets updated to support Android tablets and version 4.0.4 of the operating system.

There’s no Jelly Bean support just yet and in other news, the HBO Max Go app was also updated yesterday, but continues to not support tablets. In case you don’t know, the app is free and the service is free, provided that you already own a cable package and a subscription to HBO. Among the new compatible models with this app you’ll find the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T tablet, the Prime, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and ASUS Transformer TF101 for example. Through this app users can watch their favourite series on the go and the streaming is done with little to no buffering at all, which is amazing.

Over 1400 titles are available and the list has shows such as Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Sopranos Eastbound & Down, Curb Your Enthusiasm and many more. You can download the app on your tablet from here and I look forward to hearing some feedback from you, especially in the streaming area.
