We all know that we need some special glasses to watch 3D content on TV’s, and this is one of the reason why consumers haven’t started to adopt this kind of devices in a large scale. Some TV’s have started using passive glasses instead of those expensive active sets avaible on the market. Nintendo 3DS is a gadget that doesn’t require glasses, and now we add another device to the list, it’s the new tablet from Hammacher Schlemmer that supports 3D.
The actual name of the tablet is The No Glasses 3D Tablet, and the name tells you what this device can do. We have an 8 inch LCD display with 1280x 800 resolution, who can show 3D content by delivering a slightly different image to each eye. The tablet is able to create depth of field without being uncomfortable and without needing special glasses.
The No Glasses 3D Tablet has 16 GB of internal storage, microSD slot up to 32 GB, and full USB Port. The tablet can automatically convert 2D content to 3D. We also have a 2MP rear camera, a 0.3 front camera, Bluetooth, Android 4.1 and a battery with a lifetime of 5 to 7 hours. The tablet price will be around $350 and is set to ship on December 30.
