For those of you who want something different, not exactly a tablet, but also not exactly the flippable Lenovo Yoga, there’s the Google Pixel C up for purchase now. The slate goes for $499 on the Google Store and if ordered today, the product arrives in time for the holidays.
Previewed a few months ago, this interesting model is enhanced by a keyboard accessory, a full size keyboard that fits perfectly with the tablet, albeit at a stranger than usual angle. It attaches via magnets and connects via Bluetooth, plus it’s able to charge wirelessly and automatically. This is the very first tablet with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board and Google promises a 10+ hour battery life.
The keyboard goes for $150 and it’s made of aluminum, just like the tablet. Google Pixel C brings a 10.2 inch 2560 x 1800 pixel display, it measures 7 mm in thickness and weighs 517 grams. Inside we find the powerful Nvidia X1 quad core processor, as well as 32 or 64 GB of storage. This is one solid tablet, with a very crisp screen, that does not feel one bit as big as it actually is.
