The Google Nexus 7 2 was announced in late July and now it’s starting to be available in several places, with local launches going down in areas such as Eastern Europe, for example. In the meantime, ASUS announced the arrival of the product in UK around the date August 27th.

The starting price tag is around 199 quid and the information came during a London press event. Officially the product will enter stores on the 28th of August and our sister site, Mobilissimo.ro reported that the tablet has been launched in Romania, Eastern Europe this week. Back to the UK version, the 32 GB unit will cost 239 quid, if you want more storage.

There will also be a 32 GB 4G LTE version with a price tag of 299 quid, available at a later date. We have previously written that some parts of Europe will only get the 32 GB unit in the first wave of launches, which doesn’t seem to be the case with the UK. The new Nexus 7 features a 7 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a 1.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, a 5 megapixel camera at the back and Android 4.3.
