It’s been about a year since Google first announced plans to implement Android app support on Chromebooks and the past month or so saw several such units getting their support. It was all supposed to start late last year for about 50 devices, but Google took its sweet time. And today we have a full list of supported models.

Only 6 devices are supported as of now, but Google wants to take it up to over 80 devices. They’ve updated the list of officially supported devices, which you can find below. Of course we’ve got new products and high specced units like the Samsung Chromebook Plus, Pro, Chromebook 2 and 3. While the list is rich and the news is good, most of the models are only mentioned as “planned” and that’s it.

There are also models listed as “beta channel”, such as the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 and Acer Chromebook R13. This means that the official support will be available soon on the stable channel. The first impression is that things aren’t working out so dandy, as the Google Android apps for Chromebooks have been a letdown. Bugs and issues have affected the Samsung Chromebok Plus, for example.

Hopefully everything gets fixed and in the meantime here’s the list of Chromebooks getting the Android apps:
