Galapad is a company from China that makes phablets and tablets and they’ve just released pictures of their upcoming Galapad 9 and 10 slates. The devices look pretty hot and I find their edges particularly interesting.
They feel like sort of big Nokia Lumia devices , with what seem like metallic cases. The Galapad 9 comes with a 1280 x 800 display, Allwinner processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. The Galapad 10 is slightly larger and comes with the same 1280 x 800 screen and a MediaTek MT8125 processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory.
Both tablets will be available later in the year and they’re expected to be priced competitively, judging by the hardware inside. At least we’ve got original designs this time, which is not something we can say about most Asian tablets, sadly.
