It has been quite a while since the last iPad 5 shots hit the web and now we’ve got fresh ones, showing a thinner and narrower slate. The device is expected to debut later in the year and while this may not be the first iPad 5 leak, it only strenghtens the previous rumors.
The main idea is that Apple has decided to adopt the small bezel format of the iPad Mini on the 9.7 inch main iPad. As you can see in the pics, the device is compared to the iPad 4 and these images come straight from Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn, that has a good track recording of leaking Apple products ahead of time.
Initially they posted a video of the device, but the clip has been made private, so we’re left with the images you can see in the article. The supposed iPad 5 case photos involve a design that’s narrower and shorter compared to the average iPad. The camera is closer to the corner and there’s a small opening on the back, for a rear facing microphone. Analyst Ming Chi Kuo reported last month that the new iPad will be 25% lighter and 15% thinner than the iPad 4, so this fits the images we have here.
