Here’s a segment we don’t explore often enough: tablets meant for TV consumption. This model right here is the Explay CinemaTV 3G, a slate with an analog TV tuner, that’s available in Russia right now.
The device relies on a quad core processor, a 1.2 GHz MediaTek and also integrates 1 GB of DDR3 RAM. It packs a 9.7 inch screen with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and WiFi. This product has two cameras, GPS and voice dialing apparently. The Explay CinemaTV 3G weighs 650 grams and has metal inserts at the back.
It comes only in black for now and in Russia it costs 8990 rubles, that converts to $255. The design is pretty basic, your average plasticky slate, with rectangular format. It also runs Android, although the version is not specified. Do you see yourselves watching the Sochi Olympics on this tablet?
