The Evolio Quadra tablet is a product from Romania that goes for $289, which is actually an appealing price tag for a 10 inch quad core tablet. The device is actually made in China and branded in Eastern Europe.
It comes inside a white box with magnetic lock and in it we find a charger, USB cable and manuals. The device measures 9.5 mm in thickness and weighs an impressive 535 grams, while most slates nowadays go past the 600 gram mark. Quadra runs Android 4.1 on top of a quad core Cortex A9 processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. It also features a Super IPS 10.1 inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and the specs list also includes a 2 megapixel back camera and a 0.3 megapixel front shooter.
On board we’ll find 16 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB of extra storage. The battery is a 5400 mAh unit and unlike the other two quad core slates from Romania we reviewed (E-Boda and Allview), this one doesn’t seem as laggy. There’s no GPS or Bluetooth on board and you’ll learn more about the product once we review it, over the next days.
