We’ve talked about the Evolio Quadra Romanian quad core tablet here, when it was announced and now we’re being treated with a hands on and preview of the device, from our sister site Mobilissimo.ro. We’re dealing with a very interesting tablet, with 4 core CPU and $290 price tag.
This is an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device, with a Super IPS 10.1 inch display supporting 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It relies on an Actions ATM7029 ARM Cortex A9 processor, a quad core clocked at 1.2 GHz, with a Vivante GC1000+ GPU and 1 GB of RAM. There’s also 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and WiFi on board.
At the back we find a 2 megapixel shooter, while upfront there’s the usual 0.3 megapixel cam. The interesting bit here is that the tablet is actually kind of compact, with a weight of 535 grams and measuring 9.5 mm in thickness. The Evolio Quadra has an aluminum back and the screen mentioned before shows nice colors, has great viewing angles and as far as software goes, Jelly Bean has been mildly customized.
