Ematic has a new tablet for you, an Android 4.0 model with affordable price tag. We’re dealing with a $219 slate here, the Ematic eGlide XL Pro 2, that comes with some pretty good specifications. It has a 10 inch display and the latest Android release, plus the features detailed below.

eGlide XL Pro 2 comes with a 1 GHz processor, 400 MHz GPU and it appears that the device involves an agreement with Kobo for book delivery. Google services aren’t mentioned anywhere, so you’ll need to mess with the Google Play Store .APK to get it on the slate. Ematic also provides the proprietary EDAN voice assistant app, that comes preloaded on this gadget. The tablet is for sale right now at big names such as Wal-Mart.

Let’s just hope that Android 4.0 ICS runs flawlessly on it, although some of you may argue that $219 is still a big price and that the Nook Tablet and Amazon Tablet are cheaper and can get Android 4.0 ICS via hacking/rooting. Also, there are sub $150 tablets out there with ICS too, so…
