E-Boda is a Romanian brand that has graced us with two products previously, the X80 and X200 tablets and now the XL400 came to us. The previous models were dual core units, but the newcomer is a quad core one that debuted locally at the end of April. It’s priced at $300 and detailed after the break.

The E-Boda Supreme XL400 is the full name of the device and as you can see, there’s an unboxing video below. In the box we found the charger, an USB cable, manual, pair of headphones and the slate. The specs of the tablet include a quad core ATM7029 1.2 GHz processor, a Vivante GC1000 multi core GPU, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB.

There’s also a 10.1 inch IPS screen on board, with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 5 point multitouch. We’ve got a 0.3 MP camera upfront and a 2 megapixel shooter at the back, although for some reason the camera app shows us that we can take 5 MP shots. We also get a HDMI port and 6600 mAh battery, plus Android 4.1 Jelly bean. We’ll be back with more details once the review is up, but for now I have to say that this is a bulky device with a 13 mm waistline and 670 grams weight.
