Starting with May 31st, Computex 2011 will host some of the most impressive tablets available on the market this year, that will be showcased in Taiwan. Many computer manufacturers will be there to promote their products, that might just kill the iPad at some point, if not by themselves, then as a group.
Computex is the world’s largest computer show and it takes place for 5 days in Taipei. More than 50 tablet models will be present, according to organizer Taipei Computer Association, with big names including Lenovo, Toshiba and many more. However, this show is not entirely about tablets, since it will also include corporate and home servers, cloud based computing equipment and laptops.
Intel’s new Atom chip seems to be a hit, since it will be powering at least 10 of the tablets shown in Taipei. The new solution delivers improved video playback, longer battery and better Internet browsing, making it a solid rival for Nvidia’s chips. Now, let’s see what surprises Computex holds for us…
