Colorfly is one of the tablet makers we’ve been covering quite a bit lately, since they’ve released a few interesting tablets in China. They’re actually supposed to be the pioneers of the Windows slate segment in this country and today they debut 3 new 8.9 inch slates.
All of them come with Full HD IPS panels and they’re pictured here. The newcomers are dubbed i898W 4G, the i898W 3G and the i898A 3G. They have in common the same Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3735F quad core processor and 2 GB of DDR3L RAM. The i898W 4G is a Windows 8 tablet with 4G LTE, as the name indicates, while the i898W 3G only has support for 3G networks. Meanwhile, the model with the “A” termination runs Android 4.4 OS and has phone features.
The 3 models aren’t sent to mass production yet, so the earliest sale date possible is November 11th, when there’s supposed to be a shopping craze in China. We also don’t have prices for the newcomers, but they may be lower than the one of the Colorfly 10 inchers. We expect something in the range of $250 to $350 to be honest.
