A new Chuwi tablet is ready for debut and it’ll get its prime time at the Global Sources Expo in Hong Kong. The show starts today and Chuwi has a booth reserved there. They will be showcasing the convertible 2 in 1 machine Chuwi Hi9 Plus, which is detailed below.

Chuwi Hi9 Plus packs a 10.8 inch IPS LCD display with 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), offering up to a 280 ppi pixel density, higher than the 264 PPI of the iPad Pro and the 217 PPI of the Surface GO. There’s also the OGS full lamination technology for the best display effect available. The product packs a deca core MediaTek Helio X27 processor, with cores clocked up to 2.6 GHz, coupled with a Mali-T880 GPU clocked at 875 MHz.

There’s also 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, as well as microSD card slot with support for up to 128 GB extra. The slate has a metal body, that measures just 8.4 mm in thickness and offers a beefy 7000 mAh battery, which should provide over 10 hours of video playback time. Super capacity batteries with MiraVision tech are the secret here. The device also has a docking interface for an optional keyboard and plays nicely with the Chuwi H3 stylus and its 1024 levels of pressure.

On the connectivity front, Chuwi Hi9 offers dual SIM 4G LTE, dual band WiFi and everything is crammed within a 500 gram heavy chassis. The price should be just $199 and the product is coming to Amazon, Aliexpress and GearBest.
