Aside from convertibles and ZenBooks, ASUS brought a full fledged laptop to CES 2018. We’re talking about the ASUS X507, which is pictured below and while it’s reasonably powerful, it’s closer to the high midrange spectrum.
It does make use of an Intel Core i7 CPU, but it’s a 7th gen Core i7, not the latest 8th gen one. The device weighs just 1.68 kilograms and relies on NVIDIA GeForce MX110 graphics, plus dual storage. The screen is a NanoEdge Full HD one, with very narrow bezel for a more immersive experience. Windows 10 is preinstalled and Cortana is also part of the package.
ASUS X507 is a 15.7 inch device for work and leisure, or better said for daily computing endeavors. We don’t have a price, but we do have a time frame for the launch: the first half of the year. ASUS X507 may end up with a more budget price than you expect, particularly since there’s also a Core i5 version of it and it comes with up to 8 GB of RAM not 16 GB. There’s up to 1 TB of SATA storage, or 256 GB of SSD.
Connectivity includes two USB-A 2.0 ports, one USB-A 3.0 and one USB Type-C 3.0, as well as one full size HDMI. Wireless connectivity is ensured by 2X2 MU-MIMO WiFi ac and Bluetooth 4.2.
