CES 2015 is on and ASUS has been keeping busy, unveiling a few notebook/tablet hybrids. Among them we find a pretty powerful unit, based on an Intel Core M processor and with a very slim waistline. We’re talking about the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi, shown below.
This device is priced starting at $699 and it offers a Full HD 12.5 inch display, while the $799 version gives you a more impressive 12.5 inch 2560 x 1440 pixel screen. Both models come with 128 GB SSD drives and they also bring a pretty impressive keyboard dock with a generous touchpad. The CPU choice is Intel Core M 5Y10 or Core M 5Y71, with the first clocked at 0.8 GHz and the second at 1.2 GHz.
Other specs include 4 or 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2 MP front camera. The dock measures 8.9 mm in thickness, weighs 725 grams and the tablet and dock together weigh 1445 grams. The screen uses an IPS Panel and also gets LED backlight. That’s a pretty tempting model, I have to say.
