German audio product maker Blaupunkt tried to take part in the tablet craze and actually brought to IFA 2012 in Berlin its very own slate. Called the Blaupunkt Discovery T3, the device was caught on camera by the folks of minipcpro, with the hands on being shown in the clip below.
The T3 features a 9.7 inch display with a 4:3 format and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Under the hood we’ve got a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, that should offer quite a punch. The price tag of the product is 450 euros, which is quite steep considering you can get the Tegra 3 based Nexus 7 for $199. Other features of the Blaupunkt slate include 1 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of flash storage, a 5 megapixel camera at the back and Android 4.0 ICS as the OS.
My first impression is that the product is glossy and pretty thick, plus the screen’s brightness isn’t that impressive. However, I expect a kickass audio experience from it, seeing that its maker is an expert in that field.
