Blackview is one of those electronic device brands you probably haven’t heard of, unless you’re familiar with rugged smartphones. They’re now dabbling into tablets, having just unveiled a new slate, the Blackview Tab 8. This is a budget friendly tablet, that packs a 10.1 inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. Other specs are detailed below and there’s also an official unboxing.

Inside the slate we find a Unisoc SC9863A processor, together with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It becomes a “hybrid” device, once you attach a detachable keyboard to it. It’s supposed to be a versatile and portable device, especially thanks to the detachable keyboard. It’s a magnetic keyboard, by the way and it’s supposed to offer an experience for business professionals, students and regular users. It has preinstalled WPS Office (suite) and probably a few other productivity apps.

We’ve got a 6580 mAh battery inside and Android 10 installed. There’s also a 13 megapixel rear camera and a front 5 MP shooter, used for face unlock. The product supports 4G VoLTE and the device can take a SIM of your choice inside. The product is available with a discount of 17% from July 21st to July 27th, via the Blackview store. There are also discounts for the accessories until July 31st. I like that this slate has Android 10, but the Unisoc CPU is a bit of a bummer.

Well, for $124, it’s a decent deal (sans keyboard). You can find it here.
