Feeling more like a power bank than a tablet, the brand new Blackview Active 8 Pro is a rugged tablet, that comes with a Helio G99 processor and a quad speaker setup. There’s also a huge 22.000 mAh battery inside.
The company comes fresh after unveiling the Blackview Tab 16 and now it’s proposing a new model, this Blackview Active 8 Pro. Specs are quite impressive and I’m shocked to see a quad speaker setup with Harman Kardon here. The screen is a 10.36 inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. The previously mentioned speakers include two tweeters and two low frequency speakers.
Inside we find the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, based on the TSMC 6 nanometer process and providing a nifty balance between performance and efficiency. The specs are also solid otherwise, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. Blackview Active 8 Pro supports hybrid dual 4G SIM cards and also offers OTG support, NFC and FM radio.
Cameras on board are also not half bad, as the Blackview Active 8 Pro sports a 16.48 megapixel shooter on the front AND rear. However, the ruggedness is the selling point here, as the device is designed to take a punch. It has MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68/IP69K standard support. It also includes a graphite cooling system and a glove mode. The battery offers an amazing 1440 hours of standby time.
During the promo period, till July 14th, the device will be sold for an introductory price of $239.99. The first 200 customers will also get a complimentary Bluetooth keyboard.
