The box is rather slim and elegant and inside it we find the USB cable, charger and manual. The ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 Z580CA measures 6.6 mm in thickness, weighs 298 grams and packs an 8 inch display with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. The same screen has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection, full lamination and anti fingerprint coating. The slate packs an Intel Atom Z3580 quad core processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage.

This model also brings a GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, plus a back 8 megapixel camera and front 5 MP shooter. One of the features standing out here are the two front speakers with DTS HD technology and Sonicmaster too. There’s an USB Type C port at the bottom, a microSD card slot and the device comes in black or white. The battery here is a 15.2 Wh unit, according to the packaging.

ASUS claims that this ZenPad is inspired by the world of fashion and the metal plate at the back ends with a leather-like texture. The design also involves a diamond cut technology and a few other top notch technologies, like TruVivid and Tru2Life. We’ll be back with a full review, once we’re done with the battery life test and benchmarks.
