ASUS just pushed another minor update for the ASUS Transformer Prime owners, that’s meant to bring a couple of features to the slate, that already runs Android 4.0. One of them is the Face Unlock feature, that was supposed to come with Android 4.0 ICS in the first place. If you’re curios about the original Prime performance, you should check out our review.

The update version is 9.4.2.28, so you know what you’re looking for if you have a Prime. The announcement of the update was published on the ASUS UK Facebook page. In case you’re worried, this update doesn’t only bring Face Unlock, but also a GPS dongle fix and local notification, Ethernet UI support to set the Ethernet connect policy when the display is off and also it adds system bar lock settings, useful for hiding or showing system information.

Bluetooth HDP is now supported, 3rd party app upgrades are provided and a bunch of usual bug fixes are included. Thus, this is not a massive update, but it’s still one that Prime users will be happy with. The update is available Over the Air, so you should wait a bit or simply enter your device’s Settings and Check for a software upgrade.
