The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 was one of the most appreciated Android tablets from ASUS last year, especially for its low price, cute design and the fact that it brought most of the features of the Transformer Prime into a budget area. And now the device is getting Android 4.2.2.

ASUS has a good track record of receiving Android ICS and Jelly Bean updates faster than rival companies. The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 got Android 4.2.2 starting today, Monday and the tablet currently has version 4.1.1 on it and it was first available in stores with android 4.0.3, so we’re at the second update for the device.

The update has already hit the United States, from what I understood, but it will only come to other regions of the world later this month. The slate is able to transform into a notebook computer when docked into the optional QWERTY accessory. What does Android 4.2.2 bring? Well, enhancements and new features, such as multiple user account login, allowing multiple users to access the tablet, each with their own settings and separate homescreens. Expect further updates to the same version for the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, Memo Pad Smart 10 and Memo Pad.
