ASUS Transformer Pad 300, a tablet we’ve reviewed for you over here has just received a fresh firmware update. It also had its source code released for download, for people who know what to make of it.

The ASUS firmware update brings the software to version V9.4.3.17 for 3 countries, including the US. There’s also a version for the Japanese model. You can check the update availability now or enter this link to get the new firmware. I have to remind you that the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 is an affordable quad core tablet with a Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 8MP camera and 10.1 inch display.

The device comes with Android 4.0.3 ICS preinstalled and a bunch of very nice widgets and preinstalled apps. I’m not sure what they can improve about the slate, that we reviewed and judged as a solid 9 out of 10, with a 10 on the software side. Did you find any bugs worth correcting?
