ASUS is prepping a new series of hybrid models and apparently couldn’t wait till Computex 2016 to showcase them. One of the newcomers is now official and it goes by the name of ASUS Transformer Book T302, a hybrid with a Skylake CPU.
The device is a 2 in 1 tablet with a 12.5 inch display, a removable keyboard and Windows 10 as the OS. There’s a lot of variation for this product, including a T302CA version, T302C, T302 Chi and a T32C. The Transformer Book T302 is the upgraded version of the T300 Chi, as you probably guessed. This model is available with an Intel Skylake Core M3 or Core M7 processor, and a Full HD or Quad HD screen.
Also on board there’s 4 or 8 GB of RAM HD Graphics 515 solution and a microSD card slot. Storage comes in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB versions and the tablet is quite slim at 8.05 mm in waistline and weighing 750 grams. ASUS Transformer Book T302 offers support for WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and it also brings dual USB Type C ports.
The full size keyboard includes the typical USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. The battery is a 38 Whr unit, that should provide around 8 hours of functioning. We don’t have a retail price, but we expect a release in July.
