The ASUS PadFone is getting a Mini version, just like all the flagships this year and apparently the product has already been certified. We’ve been expecting a launch of this product ever since the likes of Computex or IFA, but now it’s up to CES to take that over.
A listing in the Global Certification Forum mentions the PadFone Mini and everything fits the recently GFX Benchmark leak showing an Android 4.3 device with a 960 x 540 display and a quad core Snapdragon 400 CPU. The tablet part is said to sport a 7 inch screen, but there’s a listing out there showing it could be bigger than that.
The weight mentioned by the Taiwanese FCC seems to be an indicator of a bigger screen. We’ll find out in about a month, but for now it would appear that the PadFone Mini won’t get a 4G LTE version, or at least the first one will be 3G and WiFi only. I also expect a very mouth watering price for this Mini.
