As we previously announced, ASUS Italy has sent invitations to the Italian press event meant to unveil Padfone 2. In the meantime, some (if not all) of the device’s specs and features were leaked on the internet. That is know know that the next gen Padfone will feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chipset with 2GB or RAM and a very high capacity battery.
The October 16 unveiling event has everyone excited about how the device will look, cost and when it will be available. We can be sure Asus has taken great lengths to ensure that everything goes just as it should with the event and taking pride in their device they are willing to stream the unveiling live on YouTube. As we will be there, we also had prepared to give you a full video presentation of the big announcement, and we still will, maybe show you a different angle.
You can also expect us to be among the first to offer a hands on video with the new Padfone 2. It is one of the hottest devices for this year and we expect it to bi a great success, due to its ability to transform into a tablet and the close to PC standards hardware performance. The live stream on YouTube will be starting at 5 AM EDT with the company’s CEO, Jonney Shih, likely to take the stage. Latest rumors are also talking about the device availability starting at the end of October, though Asus has no official comment on that.
