ASUS started back in August to roll out the Android Jelly Bean update for the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 in USA. That was the WiFi version of the device and now the LTE Pad 300 got its own Jelly Bean ROM, directly from ASUS. It’s strange to see such a long time passing between the updates of a device that’s basically the same thing, plus LTE chipset.
In order to update your device, you need to download the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TL firmware from here, version 10.4.3.6. You should then flash your tablet with the latest ROM and then enjoy the Project Butter speed of 60 FPS in the UI. The Pad 300 is a famous and appreciated convertible tablet/laptop, that comes with both 3G and LTE mobile broadband. This is very similar to the Transformer Prime, with a 10 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and 1 GB of RAM.
There’s an 8 megapixel at the back and a quad core Tegra 3 CPU inside. The battery life is 10 hours, or 15 with the keyboard dock. The update also brings an enhanced notification area and new versions of all the main Google apps.
