Word’s out that ASUS is preparing a new Tegra 2 slate, running Windows Embedded 7 and supposed to launch in March 2011. Dubbed the ASUS EP90, this device came up, as some Taiwanese sources found out that ASUS ordered 300.000 Tegra dual core ARM-base chips for the upcoming device. Digitimes also expects the unit to ship with the OS we mentioned above, optimized for such tablets.

Just like the HP Slate 500, this tablet will be destined to reach business users. It’s supposed to incorporate an 8.9 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display and weigh around 650 grams. Also, the device will include a HDMI port, USB port, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS, plus a webcam.  ASUS EP90 will use 8, 16 or 32GB of storage space and its battery life will reach 4 to 5 hours.
