ASUS has debuted two new tablets in India, the new FonePad 7 and MeMo Pad 8 with price tags of $178 and $323 respectively. These products come with Android 4.4 KitKat, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage and they share quite a few specs.
Their Android 4.4 platforms come with heavy Zen UI customization and the two also share the presence of Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and 3G. ASUS FonePad 7 FE171CG is the version we’re talking about here, one that comes with dual SIM slots and voice calling features. The device packs a 7 inch LED backlit IPS screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, a microSD card slot and a 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Clover Trail+ processor.
We’ve got an 8 megapixel back shooter with Pixelmaster technology and 2 MP front camera. Meanwhile, the ASUS MeMo Pad 8 ME581CL has an 8 inch LED backlit IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. There’s a Gorilla Glass layer on top and anti fingerprint coating. This model supports stylus input, offers 4G LTE connectivity, aside from 3G and relies on a quad core Intel Atom Z3560 CPU.
