Archos has been all about cheap tablets over the past months, but recently it has begun increasing the hardware novelty of its slates. One such modern newcomer is the Archos 101 G9 Turbo, that packs a dual core 1.2GHz processor, used to run Android Honeycomb.

The product is available right now in Europe and it’s a small upgrade to the original G9 series unit  with a 1GHz dual core CPU, that was detailed a couple of months ago. The CPU here is a TI OMAP unit and the Archos 101 G9 Turbo also comes with a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, 16 GB of internal storage and 512 MB of RAM.

Apparently, Archos is also working on a 1.5GHz version of the tablet and that’s coming later this month. The build quality is a bit of a problem for Archos tablets, but it you don’t mind that you’ll end up with a device that performs decently and sometimes costs half of what other high brand slates make you spend…
