Over the past few days we’ve covered multiple leaks regarding Apple’s iPads of 2021. Some facts keep repeating, like the 5G iPad coming in the Fall or the iPad Mini 6 and iPad 9 adopting an iPad Air 3 design. We’re also pretty sure that Apple will launch its slates in two waves this year: a Spring one and Fall one. Now we learn that two models may come as soon as March.

Apple is set to announce an 11 inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pro in March, according to people in the know. The new models will have small design changes, most likely to the speaker setup. The info comes from Japanese site Macotakara, who writes that we’ll get a new 11 inch and 12.9 inch iPad in March 2021. The general design remains largely unchanged. Apple could reduce the number of speaker holes and change their position on the new products, according to other sources.

An unibody metal case is expected, as well as an USB-C port at the bottom, plus a square camera module. The shift from an LCD display to a mini LED will only happen for the 12.9 inch model at first. The camera unit stays the same, but the lens cover portion will no longer be stretched. The 12.9 inch iPad Pro is also expected to increase in thickness by 0.5 mm, which may be a sign that there’s a screen panel change happening. One would also expect a new Apple Pencil to come out, since the competition (Samsung) has been upgrading its styli, but there hasn’t been any rumor about that.
