Believe it or not, Apple lost a lawsuit… and what a big loss that is! The Cupertino giant lost out to Spanish firm Nuevas Tecnologias y Energias Catala, that fought the American maker of the iPhone and iPad on court. Apple started it all, by attacking the Spanish company in court and then being attacked by them.

Apple wanted to block the “nt-k” Android tablet from Nuevas Tecnologias from reaching the market in Spain. The initial accusations regarded the creation of an “iPad copy” back in 2010, but the Spanish firm came on top. Now they want damages related to the seizure of their tablets by Spanish customs. What will follow is an antitrust suit against Apple, not only the original one related to tablets.

Not long ago, the Cupertino company managed to achieve the banning of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Australia and Germany, but the war is not over yet. If Samsung is able to retaliate as good as Nuevas Tecnologias did, they might have some financial catching up to do… if they win. Goes to show that even Apple can lose in court!
