Apple has just introduced its biggest and best iPhone yet and also a new watch and Apple TV, but there was no talk of tablets yesterday. That makes sense, since we already got two new iPads this year, a new Pro and a new more affordable model. However, interestingly enough the iPad Pro prices just went up during the last 24 hours.
Apple did that quietly, without an announcement, since they didn’t want to steal the spotlight from its own phones. We’re only talking about SOME iPad models here. For example the 256 GB and 512 GB models of the 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pros have been bumped up by $50. So, now you will be spending $999 for the 512 GB iPad Pro 10.5 incher and $799 for the 256 GB model. And those are the WiFi models.
The cellular iPad Pro 10.5 inch will get priced at $1129 in the 512 GB version and $929 in the 256 GB one. The 12.9 inch iPad Pro tops at $1279 for 512 GB and cellular and $1149 for the WiFi 512 GB model. While Apple is keeping mum on the subject, the talk of the town is that the price increase has to do with the increased costs of flash storage.
Well, at least the holiday season is just around the corner and discounts may appear… hopefully.
